SAT Exam 2022: Registration, Dates, Eligibility, Fees, Preparation, Syllabus, Score & Results

SAT stands for Scholastic Assessment Test  administered  by the Board of the College which is to be taken by the students seeking undergraduate schools admission. Previously SAT was known as Scholastic Aptitude Test. This test has been introduced to evaluate mathematical, Verbal and Written Skills of a candidate. SAT is an Paper & Pencil test which is taken by the aspirants who pursue the undergraduate courses especially in the Canada and USA the students required to attempt the SAT Exam.

SAT Exams help the students to make a path to their colleges.

Usually, students used to take admissions for a particular course have to go through the SAT subject test, now the SAT subjects have been discontinued by the board of College from June 2021. Undergraduate aspirants should be careful when to start studying for the SAT Exam.

Why SAT?

Students who look for enrolling themselves into undergraduate programs in the United States, they appear for the SAT. Most of the US Colleges' admissions require SAT exams to take the undergraduate courses.  Also, most of the schools offer Scholarships to the students, which depends on their SAT Score.

Types of SAT

The Board of College conducts the SAT 1 which is referred to as Scholastic Assessment Test, which is required by students to take undergraduate schools admission.

SAT 1: It is actually a General Test to identify the verbal, mathematical & Written Skills of a candidate. 

SAT 2: It is a more focused subject test. Students who want to take admissions for a particular course have to take the SAT Test to demonstrate the knowledge of the concerned subject. The Board of College had discontinued the SAT Subjects from June 2021. Now, The Aspirants need to appear for the SAT 2022 for getting admissions into the Undergraduate courses of their desire.

 

SAT Exam Latest Update

The college board has recently announced that the SAT Exam will be conducted Online in 2023. Now, instead of three hours it is now two hours currently. The Aspirants who appear for the SAT Test, can carry their own calculators for the Math Exam.

The Board of  College said “The online SAT exam will be  easier to give, more relevant and easier to take” said by the Vice President of that college. Students from abroad can take the Online SAT test from next year 2023, but the High School students of the United States can take the SAT test from 2024. 

At present, the candidates use their pencils to bubble the multiple choice questions  paper. With this Online SAT test, students will get their scores within a few days of the SAT Test.

 

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) ALERT: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Test Centers were not operating with full capacity.

Candidates need to register their slots for taking the SAT 2022 exam for the academic year.  They need to check the availability of test centers during registration.

As universities abroad are taking this test as optional due to SAT being canceled.

The board College has introduced the SAT in India. Students who want to pursue Higher Education in Universities of India should know that in 2018, the Board of College had brought India Higher Education Alliance with other Establishments.

The Universities were accepting the SAT scores of Indian students & other countries to take admissions.

Those students who want to pursue Higher Education in the United States should appear for the SAT Test 2022.

When to take the SAT test?

To take the admissions in Undergraduate Courses abroad, students used to take this SAT exam. The United States usually accepts ACT scores and SAT scores for granting admissions into UG Courses after clearing the High School.

What is the duration of the SAT test 2022?

The SAT exam duration is 3 Hours long without essay, in case you opt for SAT including Essay then the duration will be 3 Hours & 50 Minutes long.

How is the SAT test scored?

The sections have been divided, based on the Writing, Reading and Math which are scored on a 200-800 point scale. Your Total Score for SAT will be the sum of all the section scores. If a candidate takes the SAT exam with Essay then they will receive separate scores.

The Board of College had not specified any SAT Eligibility criteria for the candidates who wish to appear for the SAT exam.

1. Age Limit to Appear for SAT

Candidates who wish to appear for the SAT exam have no Minimum or Maximum age criteria to appear for the exam.

The studies have shown that students between the age groups of 17-19 are the highest to take the SAT exam.

2. How many times can you take the SAT exams?

The college Board has not set any restrictions for the ACT Exam SAT Exam. Candidates can take the SAT exam as many as they wish, the SAt exam is administered in India every 5 years. The SAT test is conducted between the months of March to December.

3. What is the educational eligibility criteria for SAT?

The College Board which manages and conducts the SAT exam did not mention any perticular eligibility criteria. 

Moreover, it can be attempted by the Students of high school. To move to the Undergraduate courses Students need to complete their High School Education.

1. Visit the Official Website of the College Board.

2. Create your own Account

3. Fill the required information.

4. Choose the nearest center for taking the test.

5. Upload the Photograph.

6. Application Fee to be Paid.


SAT Registration by Mail (Steps)

1. First you need “The guide for students Registration for SAT Subjects & SAT Tests. Which are available in their schools.

2. The guide mentions a return envelope and a form.

3. The application forms need to be sent with a demand draft.

4. The UNIEF is the local representative for SAT in India.

5. The mailed application forms will be forwarded to the regional office.

SAT Slot Booking

 As, seats are limited for designated Test Center for SAT test. The candidates are informed to book the slot in advance to avoid the hassle at the last moment.
